Opposition decides to take unanimous stance on PTV scandal

Islamabad The main opposition parties of the country have decided to take unanimous stance against the incumbent government as ministry of Information and broadcasting has failed to resolve the matter of sexual harassment of the state-run Pakistan Television (PTV).

Reliable sources told “Online” that joint opposition including Pakistan People Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),Muthida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) have decided to raise this matter regarding sexual harassment by the channel’s current affairs director of PTV on the Parliament’s floor once again.
It was worth mentioned here that Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb assured the house that an inquiry committee was investigating this matter in this regard but so far results pertaining to this matter have not came to the fore.

PPP moved call- attention- notice by the joint opposition parties in the house but the incumbent government did not take any action in this regard. Sources of victim told “Online” that newscaster was in stress as she was pressurized for taking back her case.
