Islamabad, :The NAB Rawalpindi has organized an awareness event at Govt. MC Boys High School Millat Colony Rawalpindi.
Qazi Zahoor ul Haq, Executive District Officer (Education) Rawalpindi honored the event as Chief Guest. Mr. Ch. Shahbaz, District Officer (Education), Rawalpindi, teachers and students from different schools of Rawalpindi Division attended the event. Awareness and Prevention team comprising of following officers and officials lead by
Mr. Raza Khan, Director (A&P) attended the event.National Anthem was played at arrival of Chie Guest. A student recited verses of Holy Quran followed by Naat Sharif. Stage Secretary, Ms. Gulnaz Fatima briefed the audience about the program and its sequence.
After the brief introduction of NAB and its activities, NAB (R) theme song MERE KHUDA was played which was praised the students. Muhammad Abdullah, primary student, delivered an eloquent speech on corruption and its effects on individual and society.
The above events were followed by an awareness lecture from Mr. Raza Khan. In his talk, he admired the efforts of teachers and Mr. Shahbaz District officer Education on conducting painting / poster competition. He admired the depictions of students regarding evil effects of corruption.
He highlighted the positive aspects of our country including natural resources, geo-strategic location, ratio of youth in our population and the faith he has in our young generation. He expressed his faith in young generation and hoped that coming generation will make our homeland a much better place to live in. Mr. Muhammad Akmal, Dy. Dir. NAB (R), while sharing his thoughts, expressed that corruption is Fasad-fil-Arz. He explained the three-prong strategy of NAB; Awareness, Prevention, and Enforcement. He also advised students to spend most of their time in studies and to question everything which seems bad.
The participating students were then awarded certificates, books, gifts & shirts bearing anti-corruption slogans by Mr. Raza Khan, Director NAB (R) and Mr. Shahbaz, DO Education Rawalpindi. Mr. Raza Khan, Director NAB (R) presented shields to Mr. QaziZahoorUlHaq, Executive District Officer (Education) Rawalpindi, Mr. Ch. Shahbaz, District Officer (Education), and certificates to the organizers and Judges of Painting / Poster Competition.
At the end, Mr. Shahbaz appreciated NAB for its awareness efforts with respect to corruption and its devastating effects. He thanked the audience with desire and commitment to conduct more awareness lectures and seminars. The event was
