LAHORE : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif chaired a meeting in Lahore on Saturday to review progress on establishment of “Khidmat Marakaz” across the province.
Speaking on the occasion, he said eleven such state-of-the art service centers have so far been established and such centers will be setup in all district of the province.
Shahbaz Sharif said this is an important project of Public interest where seventeen types of services are being provided under one roof.
The chief minister said all-out resources are being utilized to provide best facilities to the people and the establishment of the Khidmat Centres is great step in this regard. He said until now 11 Khidmat Centres have been established and such state-of-the-art Khidmat Centres will be established in all districts.
He said Khidmat Centres are operational in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lahore, Sahiwal, and Gujranwala and in remaining land has been earmarked to set up these centres. He said in these centres the people are getting 17 services under one roof and two more services will also be added soon.
The Chief Minister said the establishment of the Khidmat Centres is the great step of the Punjab government that has provided relief to the people in true terms. He said the importance of Khidmat Centres cannot be ignored and the team of PITB is working in an excellent manner for these centres. He said a strong awareness campaign should be launched to create awareness in the public about Khidmat Centres.
Adviser Dr. Umer Saif gave a detailed briefing on Khidmat Centres and a monitoring system has been made to look after performance of Khidmat Centres. The chief secretary, Dr. Umer Saif and secretaries of the concerned departments were also present on the occasion. NNI
