Islamabad, January 24 The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Tuesday passed four bills, including two legislative proposals to raise the salaries of Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Provincial Ministers and all the provincial lawmakers, observes Free and Fair Election Network in Daily Factsheet. The KP Assembly met for two hours and 35 minutes.
The sitting started at 1600 hours against the scheduled time of 1500 hours.
The House observed prayer break of 50 minutes.
Thirty-nine lawmakers (31%) were present at the start and 45 (36%) at the end of sitting.
The Speaker presided over the entire sitting while the Deputy Speaker was also present.
The Chief Minister attended the sitting for two hours and 25 minutes while the Leader of the Opposition remained present during the entire proceedings.
Introduced by Minister for Law, the House passed the KP Police Bill, 2017. Chief Minister, Leader of the Opposition and the lawmakers of PML-N, QWP-S, PPPP and ANP spoke on the bill for 46 minutes.
