Governor Sindh Justice Retd Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqi passed away today in Karachi
He was 31st Governor of Sindh following Dr Ishrat ul Ibad removal by Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif
He remained governor for two months two days
He was born on December 1 1937 in Lukhnow India before partition of Sub continent
He was 15th Chief Justice of Supreme Court from July 1st 1999 to 26 th January 2000 when he refused to take oath on PCO and later he contested election for President slot in 2008 against former President Asif Ali Zardari as PML-N candidate
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have expressed deep grief over the sad demise of Governor Sindh Justice (R) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui who breathed his last in Karachi today.
PM stated that the services of Justice (R) Seed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui in the field of Judiciary and upholding rule of law would be remembered. Justice (R) Saeed-uz –Zaman was an upright and honest Judge who never compromised on his principles and remained impartial in delivery of justice, stated the Prime Minister. PM further said that his contributions regarding resisting and giving sacrifices against un-democratic elements are unparalleled.
PM prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family of Justice (R) Saeed-uz-Zaman .
